I've fast-forwarded to 2015! The reason that I haven't been updating this blog is that I've spent the last 3 years involved in another adventure that I still think is a dream.  Well, it's my dream job.  I've been working for Edmonton Public Schools as a library technician at the the best high school in the city-Edmonton Christian HS.  I get to hang around with educators and students and buy books and research books and cover books. I love books.  I lived in walking distance to the Woodcraft Public Library when I was growing up and spent half of my childhood in that library.  I have fond memories of finding the latest Asterix and Obelix book in the carousel and finding a quiet spot to devour it.  But I've settled in and my workbench has been calling me this summer so I found the courage to approach a local gift shop to display and sell my sea glass jewellery so that I can still have some motivation to work that creative side of me too.  Seasons Gift Shop is located on McKenney Drive and I encourage you to check it out.  It is a locally owned shop with some unique gift items and, of course, some of Trinkets Metalcraft jewellery.

Check it out.  And have a lovely Sunday :)

This post is for you, Rachelle :)

My sister in law, Rosa, from Growing Wisdom, shared a link with me recently that I wanted to share.  I just LOVE creative people!

Wow!  It's been crazy busy over here with school wrapping up and my sister Joan visiting over the past week.  A lot of celebrating and visiting under some beautiful Alberta blue skies.  And now, the un-routine of summer which is making it difficult to get some stuff done!

I've got a few orders that are pending which is awesome and I have tons of paperwork to do, which is not so awesome. Stay tuned.

Mrs. Bosch (my sister in law Evelyn's Mom) is the winner of Trinkets Metalcraft  Open House draw for a free piece of jewellery!  Congratulations!

Thank you to all those who came to see me at my 1st Open House Event and I hope that you are all pleased as punch with your new purchases.  I really had a great time and I'm re-energized to keep working at it and have another Open House in the Fall.

And now..I'm going to enjoy this beautiful Sunday and wish the very same to all of you.  God bless.

Sun today, even though the forecast was rain, rain, rain.  Just love those unexpected gifts!

Speaking of gifts...come and get one for yourself on Friday, June 15th from 10-2 or Saturday, June 16th from 10-12 at Trinkets Metalcraft's 1st Open House Event.  I've got a good selection of fun summer jewellery that may tickle your fancy and at prices that won't make a big dent out of your vacation budget.

Where?  At my place...27 Pineridge Crescent, St. Albert...I'm not difficult to find.  Just off of Boudreau and Campbell Road...google it!

Hope to see you!

It is the week of the deck painting.  Yes..finally...after 2 years of viewing a peeling deck in my backyard...I have found the courage to tackle it!  So, in between driving the boys to school, attending various lovely volunteer appreciation events, a birthday party, grocery shopping, getting my winter tires off and doing laundry, I've managed to scrape the entire deck and it's ready for painting.

This deck has a limited life span since Walt is determined to re-engineer and rebuild it in a couple of years but I'm hoping this will give it a new life.  Of course, the tree that hangs over one end is shedding copious amounts of blossoms that have suddenly made a rather untimely task.  But we think a tarp may solve the problem.  Anyway, I'm going to start on the other end and hope it has a quick cycle of shedding.

All this to explain that I haven't been making any jewellery but did stop by Bedrock Supply on the south side to peruse a few lovely things while I was in the area.  It's always good to poke around a jewellery suppliers to get inspired...and to spend a little money.

Here's a little something to look at until my next post:

Charming, isn't it?
